One thing holds true and it is that Craig cares and wants to improve with age for all around him. Having grown up on the shores of a pristine beach near Malibu, Craigs’ water time started at a very young age. Balancing Surfing, Skateboarding and a love for the outdoors nurtured his passion, and as he grew into a young man his thirst for knowledge around the Sea deepened. Craig has coached, competed, taught, judged, and gone surfing most of his life and to this day can be found riding waves on his home coast of Mendocino. He worked for various companies in the eighties including, Aleeda Wetsuits, Instinct Sportswear, and coached the NSSA National Team. His trophy collection grew, as did his national ranking, and his competitive skills and strategies gained victories at both amateur and professional levels. Once retired from the competitive scene he took up surfboard shaping, video production and surf forecasting as hobbies. His passion continued and he furthered his understanding and love for the Ocean and its’ inhabitants with a 2 year program in Marine Science at College of the Redwoods. Upon graduation he studied Northern Fur Seals in Alaska, and then took a career choice to work with Patagonia and lead the marketing and sales of their surf offering and distribution. Currently Craig is owner operator of Kayak Mendocino and Stand up Paddle Mendocino, partner with Magdalena Weinstein, and father to Dylan 10, and Siena, 7. His quest for deeper truth and a longing for equanimity and goodness ring true in all his endeavors, and his Plant based lifestyle/diet speaks volumes to his love for all of Earths creatures.
